JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Product Manager, the Purchase Order Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Merchandising department Business Units by entering purchase orders and conducting follows-ups on purchase order status with internal clients. In addition, he/she may assist in special projects and perform other duties while showing interest in the product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DEC in Fashion Marketing, Business Administration, Finance or a related field;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook & Excel;
  • Ability to enter large volume of data with minimal errors;
  • Demonstrates attention to detail;
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems;
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills;
  • Follow-through/follow-up skills;
  • Initiative/self-motivation;
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks within the required time frame in a highly interactive environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities;
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment;
  • Able to work in a team-based participative environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Bilingual;
  • Clear communication skills, both written and spoken;
  • Demonstrates a passion for fashion.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, manage and track purchase orders and follow up on product status with internal clients (e.g. Import, Quality Control etc.);
  • Resolve purchase order exceptions, including pricing issues, lead time issues, missing information, etc.;
  • Establish and maintain documents and records in appropriate files;
  • Produce reports, forms and other materials as directed by Product Manager;
  • Participate in daily stand up meetings;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the product cycle calendar to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Elevate and effectively communicate business-related issues to the Product Managers in a timely manner;
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned;
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the brand.
