POSITION DESCRIPTION
Data and Operations Coordinator in Perioperative Services is responsible for assisting the OR business manager and POCU business analyst in day to day statistical, strategic and operational activities. The primary objective of this role is to support the Operating Room in making best use of its clinical resources and enable the Hospital to serve an ever-growing volume of patient activity.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares data to support internal and external reporting:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly SETP data to Ontario Health
- Assists with surgical data extraction and validation for financial reporting and billing
- Supports ongoing assessment of operational performance:
- Supports ongoing delivery of monthly POCU Activity report, including updating key performance indicators.
- Conducts analysis to help identify root cause issues within OR Quality and Efficiency Indicators.
- Collects, collates, prepares and presents data as requested
- Supports the POCU Capital Request process:
- Supports clinicians in the creation and submission of capital requests
- Supports annual prioritization within POCU
- Maintains 5-year planning documents
