Description:

The post holder will provide professional, quality planned programmes of podiatry care to patients based on their clinical needs. They will provide specialist care to patients in order to maintain mobility, independence, tissue viability and to relieve discomfort especially for those patients with diabetes, circulatory disorders, neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis and biomechanical pathologies. They must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, acting as a source of professional advice to patients, carers, GPs and other healthcare professionals. They will be expected to contribute to the development of the Podiatry Department and to adhere to Trust and Departmental policies, procedures and objectives.

This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries
