Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:

  • Protect life and property, conduct proactive patrols, auto crash/theft, injury investigations, respond to calls for service, direct traffic, and enforce applicable laws and adhere to established policies. Effect arrests, when necessary on or adjacent to LSUHSC property
  • Commit to information sharing amongst all departmental members. Greet visitors and the public while offering assistance and direction
  • Accept supervisory responsibility for the LSU Health Sciences Center in the absence of a higher supervisory office
  • Forward all investigative reports to higher ranking office
  • Act as a team leader over Police Officer 1 and 2 -A. Assist in the training of new personnelPlease list all relevant work experience and education in the Employment History section of your application this is a vital step to qualifying for this vacancy and determining the offering rate.
  • This is a Civil Service Position.
  • This position requires applicants to take a Civil Service test. If you have not taken the 2100 PSE (Protective Services Exam) test and received a passing score, please contact Civil Service to take the test before applying.
  • Pre-employment Physical, Drug testing and Criminal Background check are required.
  • This position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months.
