Description:

Overview:
The Policy Inquiry Analyst I is responsible for creating a consistent and unified Cotiviti voice for responding to client
inquiries both accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Attend all required team meetings
  • Communicate effectively and timely with the appropriate functional areas to resolve inquiries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Follow established guidelines for turnaround time and quality as defined in the Policy Inquiry Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Research CMS and State websites to validate that the client’s policy is in synch with the Federal and/or State guidelines.
  • Analyze the configuration of the client’s custom policy to ensure that it aligns with the client’s intent.
  • Identifies and reports any potential incident discovered during policy review.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Typically requires 2 years of healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS coding, and medical terminology
  • Intermediate Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),
  • Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn and quickly apply new material
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations with ease
  • Team player with strong desire to assist others and share knowledge

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
    Base compensation ranges from $22.50 to $26.50. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
