Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher education, Knowledge in Management, or logistic discipline
  • +10 years of professional experience across shipping disciplines, including finance, commercial and Demurrage / Detention.
  • Languages: Excellent English (Must)
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (MS Office Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

To ensure that policies and procedures are effectively developed, implemented and maintained in alignment with business goals, regulatory requirement, HO requirements and best practices. The role involves overseeing the creation and enforcement of policies, streamlining processes and ensuring team members and departments adhere to them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to draft, review and update organizational policies
  • Designing or refining processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support compliance
  • Ensuring that policies and process comply with legal, regulatory and company standards
  • Leading the rollout of new policies and processes, and ensuring smooth transition
  • Identifying gaps, risk or ineffectiveness in existing processes and addressing them proactively
  • Create and implement an internal audit process
  • Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the policies and processes
  • Ensure that long standing and current demurrage balances and investigated and collection efforts are conducted in order to maximize gains to ZIM and reduce overall balance.
  • Set monthly actionable items to drive strict adherence to targets
