Description:

WE HAVE CREATED A CULTURE OF OPENNESS AND INTEGRITY BY BUILDING GENUINE AND STRONG RELATIONSHIPS AND PARTNERSHIPS, ENABLING US TO BE UNCOMPROMISING IN OUR DEDICATION IN DELIVERING THE OPTIMAL SERVICE FOR OUR CLIENTS. OUR COMMITMENT IS NOT JUST TOWARDS OUR CLIENTS BUT WE AIM TO FOSTER A POSITIVE AND EQUITABLE WORKING ENVIRONMENT WITH OUR CONSULTANTS AND COLLEAGUES WHICH STEMS FROM OUR CORE VALUES: CONFIDENT, DEDICATED, RESPONSIBLE, GENUINE.

Overview: We are looking for a skilled Policy Writer with strong experience in drafting governance documentation, particularly around operational resilience. In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the central project team to address gaps in current documentation and produce new policies, procedures, and standards aligned with DORA regulations. You will play a key role in ensuring the bank’s operational resilience policies are compliant, well-documented, and prepared for approval by relevant committees.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in policy and procedure writing within a regulated financial services environment, ideally with a focus on operational resilience.
  • In-depth understanding of DORA and its implications for operational resilience in the financial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of different types of governance documentation (policies, standards, procedures) and the ability to differentiate between them.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on technical writing.
  • Broad understanding of cybersecurity concepts (though in-depth technical expertise in all areas is not required).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with SMEs and project teams to deliver high-quality documentation within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, review, and amend policy, procedure, and standard documentation across a range of subjects including network, encryption, access management, and key management.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and project stakeholders to gather relevant information, identify gaps, and lead the creation and updating of governance documents.
  • Ensure all documents are written accurately and adhere to the technical style required for financial regulations, particularly DORA.
  • Document associated implementation plans and budget requirements for approval alongside the policies.
  • Complete and refine around 10-15 key documents by the end of November, ensuring that any documentation gaps are closed.
  • Oversee the review and approval process for these documents with the relevant committees and stakeholders.
