REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) preferred.
• Registry eligible by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists preferred.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required plus specialized training in Polysomnography required.

Work Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year experience working in a Sleep Center required.

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

• Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedure.
• Perform and document testing.
• Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary toresolve patient needs or equipment issues.
• Score, interpret and reports results of sleep studies.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing.
• Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.
