REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • MXP knowledge preferred
  • Proven experience as an analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in the operational sector with previous roles such as operations analyst.
  • Proficient user of operations management software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate operational processes are being utilized.
  • A solid understanding of operational statistics and principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Professional qualification such as PMP or similar will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

We are seeking a reliable Port Cost Analyst to oversee and manage daily activities within our MXP platform in relation to the Port Cost module. The goal is to ensure that the company’s port cost operations and processes run smoothly and efficiently, from the collection of estimates to providing data that supports our operations team in decision-making.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in operational analysis and planning. By analyzing day-to-day operational Port Cost activities with precision, you will provide valuable insights and recommendations to management and vessels on optimizing services.
Your guidance will empower the company to make informed operational decisions, playing a crucial role in developing and implementing plans that support the company’s growth and efficiency. Monitoring operational performance, identifying areas for improvement, and capitalizing on opportunities will be integral parts of your responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a concise and thorough Port Cost Operational Process within MXP to ensure all areas are compliant with the audit requirements of DCL, and to ensure the timely receipt of invoices after a vessel call to our DCL finance team.
  • Establish timelines and procedures for the Port Cost Operational Process to ensure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collect and manage estimates for planned ports of call within the MXP system.
  • Coordinate prefunding arrangements to ports where necessary through MXP.
  • Collaborate with the MXP Operations Manager to ensure all contacts and interfaces are aligned within the platform, allowing seamless sending and receiving of data.
  • Maintain global, multi-port data integrity to ensure accurate per passenger cost analysis for bundling and statistics
  • Oversee the preparation of reports as required by internal stakeholders and provide interpretations of operational data to managerial staff.
  • Work with DCL finance to assist in the analysis of operational costs, pricing, bundling, and the company’s port operations performance compared to budgeted amounts.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with the operations department to set goals and objectives, designing frameworks to achieve them.
  • Liaise with auditors as required to ensure appropriate monitoring of the company’s operations is maintained.
  • Coordinate with various departments to discuss company plans and agree on future operational paths, improvements and synergies.
