Description:
At Elite Medical Transport our Emergency Vehicle Operators are responsible for responding to requests for medical care and transport of patients in a wide variety of circumstances, from calls to 9-1-1 to requests from local healthcare facilities. Employees in this position must be able to:
- Support the provision of physical, environmental and psychological care as determined by certified/licensed health care providers within the confines of state law and company clinical practice guidelines
- Document patient information according to policy
- Gather patient data and ancillary medical records according to policy
- Obtain necessary information and signatures for patient financial services
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
- Transport patients in accordance with policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
- Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
- Operate an IBM-compatible computer and report on services provided using a desktop application
