WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT:
Mercer’s Multi Asset Team (MAT) is a global team responsible for designing multi asset portfolios, developing Mercer’s house views on markets & economies and researching external multi-asset managers. The team serves a diverse client base, including both Mercer’s delegated investment teams and our Segment Investment Committees (SICs) that work across defined benefit, defined contribution, insurance, endowment & foundations, and wealth management clients.
The Portfolio Construction Team (PCT) is part of the Multi Asset Team. The PCT is responsible for developing Mercer’s intellectual capital and supporting the wider business on all matters relating to portfolio construction and Strategic Asset Allocation. A key part of this is developing Mercer’s Global Reference Portfolios, promoting the adoption of these at the regional level and helping segment teams to tailor them for specific use cases.
We are seeking a Portfolio Construction Specialist to join the PCT in London, to focus on portfolio construction for the UK and European region and to contribute to the development of regional and global intellectual capital.
The candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a good understanding of investment theory, asset classes and financial markets, together with excellent communication abilities. The candidate will need to have an analytical mind-set, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to build relationships with a wide range of subject matter specialists and investment practitioners both within and outside Mercer.
