On behalf of Vanguard, a globally recognised investment management company, we are seeking a meticulous and team-oriented Portfolio Control Analyst to join their Dublin team. This role is crucial to the daily operations of IBOR (Investment Book of Records) maintenance, ensuring the accuracy of data, transactions, and positions for Portfolio Management and other downstream consumers of IBOR data. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, basic analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a team-oriented mindset. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic financial software is advantageous.

What you’ll do:
As a Portfolio Control Analyst at Vanguard, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of IBOR maintenance. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily reconciliations, reviewing and validating transactions and valuation data, monitoring data flows into the IBOR system, and assisting in analysing data trends. You will also engage with internal teams to share updates on daily processes and build your foundational knowledge in investment operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team environment.

Conduct daily reconciliations and ensure accurate input of data into the IBOR

  • Review and validate daily transactions, positions, and valuation data
  • Monitor data flows into the IBOR, identifying any discrepancies or issues
  • Assist in analysing data trends and identifying movements in portfolio balances
  • Engage with internal teams to share updates on daily processes
  • Build foundational knowledge in investment operations including collateral, corporate actions, securities lending, trade management & ETF Operations
