Nordic RCC is a fast-developing company providing regional power system planning data and security analysis to support the national Transmission System Operators of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark - to ensure the efficient operation of the Nordic Power System and high security of power supply at any time, with a vision of green transition.
Right now, we are looking for a Portfolio Manager who likes to make a difference!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Portfolio Manager, you will join a team of skilled colleagues and contribute to Nordic RCC ambitious goals of green transition together with our owners in the 4 Nordic countries.
The team is sitting in the PMO organization, with Nordic support team and Project management team in the same PMO organization. You will report directly to the PMO Manager, also have a close collaboration with the Senior Portfolio Manager, different regional and local project managers, senior managers and finance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hold a master’s degree in mathematics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Are proficient in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Value teamwork and have a collaborative mindset.
  • Respectful of agreements, deadlines, other people’s time and ideas, and listening to the client’s needs.
  • Structured in your work and approach to tasks, working in an orderly manner.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have significant experience (more than 5 years) as a portfolio manager or similar within the European renewable energy sector.
  • You gain high trust immediately by senior management with your professional attitude and a fast learner of a complex environment.
  • You like to facilitate group management meetings and know how to take the essence out of discussions and bridge knowledge that ends with a successful outcome.
  • You like to prepare management reports, presentations and follow up on activities.
  • Knowledge/experience of various PPM and PMO methods and processes.
  • Knowledge of implementing IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

Your tasks will include:

  • Facilitate management meetings by documenting key decisions, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-ups to drive accountability.
  • Coordinate project budget and forecast activities, including status meetings, workshops, and reporting reviews to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Establish and actively manage a risk and issue log, assessing potential threats to project timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Manage resource allocation processes, proactively resolving conflicts in collaboration with project and team leads.
  • Maintain a centralized repository for project documentation, ensuring version control and accessibility for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze and report on project metrics, milestones, and KPIs, providing leadership with actionable insights and portfolio trends.
  • Serve as a point of contact for PMO inquiries, providing guidance and support to project teams.
  • Foster collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to enhance efficiency and continuous project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, standardizing processes, and enhancing project governance within the PMO.
