Description:
The Inside Sales Engineer / Technician will play a critical role in driving our service levels by creating quotes, conducting calls with peers and having the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role is critical to the company to generate revenue increase our customer base by performing a seamless customer experience from quote to cash. Requires an interest in the mix of technical, customer service, and sales.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
- CRM and Oracle Knowledge
- Solid prioritizing and organizational skills along with being a self-starter
- Solid keyboard skills and a strong proficiency for using Windows & MS Office applications
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Generate and select model numbers based on customer’s specific data or application
- Review quotes for technical conformance as in valid model options, configuration ranges, documentation options, and device compatibility to application. Utilize system tools
- Participate in all aspects of preparing the quotation package and ensure that it is sent to the customer. This includes the technical, commercial, and competitive strategy appropriate for the selling opportunity
- Follow up on sent proposals to increase sales hit rate for specific customers
- Collaborate in order process to ensure the processing of correct product(s) and the availability of all the technical requirements and documentation needed by the factory and or customer
- Maintain a good working knowledge of Emerson quotation tools and pricing policies; is responsible to continually enhance knowledge of Automation Solution products, applications, and industries served
- Provide customer and sales support by email, chat or phone
- Understand and consistently apply Emerson commercial policies and business practices related to quote entry
- Ensure compliance with import/export, contract, and government requirements. Screen orders for compliance with the business unit Terms and Conditions, agreements and standards
- Provide backup and support for internal and external sales personnel/s to maintain good service levels and consulting support to Order Entry Analyst or Order Management when processing an order

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently studying engineering such as Electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, Chemical, Industrial Chemistry
- Experience: 1 -2 year of sales related customer service experience is preferre
- Language: Portuguese language (Intermediate - Advance) & English (Basic-Intermediate)
- Has an interest in the mix of technical, customer service, and sales
- Willing to work on flexible shift schedule based on business needs
- Work Location: Residing in Costa Rica.
