Active Care Group is thrilled to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our expanding PBS team, supporting services in our North region.
The PBS Practitioner will be a key member of our national team, collaborating closely with the operations team to develop and implement ethical, least-restrictive behaviour support strategies for individuals exhibiting behaviours that challenge with the aim of improving their overall well-being and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
- Take professional responsibility for a referral caseload, providing expert advice and recommendations to staff working within Active Care Group services regarding Positive Behaviour Support
- Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments and develop scientifically grounded, data driven behaviour support plans, which effectively address behavioural concerns, promote skill development, and enhance overall well-being of the people we support
- Implement, monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans with a focus on reducing behavioural incidents and improving quality of life for the people we support
- Undertake regular incident analyses and reviews to facilitate valuable learning outcomes and identify necessary adaptations to behaviour support plans
- Provide coaching and mentoring to direct support staff to ensure the effective implementation of Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Conduct debrief sessions with staff and the individuals we support following significant incidents to promote well-being
- Draft and present reports including visual graphs on the effectiveness of Positive Behaviour Support interventions to senior management and other stakeholders
- Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
