Description:

The post holder will act as a Positive behaviour practitioner and role model in order to provide development of a workforce with the ability to provide safe and high standards of care, including when aggression and violence potentially could or has occurred.
Working strategically and operationally within the education team to promote the teaching, training, supporting implementation of agreed care related delivery and on-going development of clinical staff, ensuring continuing personal, professional and practice development is an active process in relation to positive and proactive behaviour management.
Achieve and maintain compliance, keeping within guidelines, policies and procedures reflecting the overall values of the Trust.
This role will involve working clinically within our inpatient services to role model aspirational behaviours. Act as GSA grade A linked to the general services associates.
The aim of this role is to provide clinical input to enhance the quality of life of the service users by reducing challenging behaviour and restrictive practices. The post holder will facilitate the training of the prevention and management of violence and aggression and breakaway techniques complying with PBS and Non-Restrictive behaviour, across the Trust.
To comply with the Use of Force Act in relation to Data analysis and interpretation.
Providing Positive behavior support and advice to Mental health inpatient services and additional services if needed for example Adult community services on an ad-hoc basis.
Dedicating at least two days per week to the use of force act data collection and interpretation.
Delivering Management of violence and aggression Training to the whole of the service who have been identified as needing this type of training.
