REQUIRED EDUCATION

A Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology and Molecular Biology or related disciplines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated expertise in transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics analyses and various pipelines.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED

  • Solid understanding of bioinformatics and molecular biology tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineer clostridia strains with enhanced titer, rate, and yield (TRY) using genome engineering. Assist in project management.
  • Conducting independent laboratory and bioinformatics analyses.
  • Prepare and present of progress reports for the funding agencies.
  • Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas that promote current research.
