ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or similar disciplines
  • Strong programming ability (Python preferred)
  • Experience in the 3D computer vision field (for example, but not limited to, 3D reconstruction from RGBD data, photometric stereo, structure from motion, structured light systems, etc.)
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields:
  • 2D-3D-4D digitization (scanning) and analysis of both small objects, monuments and sites
  • shape analysis and interpretation
  • in-field work in archeological sites
  • 3D point cloud post processing
  • semantic-aware reconstruction
  • novel view synthesis
  • A relevant publication record
  • Ability to work as part of a group developing ideas and collaborating
  • The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
  • Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
  • Good command in spoken and written English

Responsibilities:

  • To investigate new technologies for the analysis and digitization of Cultural Heritage and other related areas, both tangible and intangible, expanding and improving current approaches;
  • To contribute to the development of next generation 3D digitization tasks applied to the Cultural Heritage and not only
