The Post Doctoral Associate performs scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff. Moreover, the Post Doctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.
EDUCATION:
MD or Ph.D. in relevant field
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES:
- Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
EDUCATION:
PhD in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a highly related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience with phase change material or biochar technology.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES:
- Educational training and/or hands-on research experience related to cement and concrete materials, biochar, and/or phase change material
- Hands-on R&D experience in advanced characterization tools for civil infrastructure materials, e.g., XRF, XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX, TEM, Raman, NMR, XPS, AFM, and nanoindentation.
- Publication record as 1st author in at least one reputable journals relevant to civil infrastructure materialsSelf-motivated to grow professionally, willingness and ability to learn new skills, and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
