POST DOCTORAL ASSOCIATE (JOFFE)
Med-Psychiatry - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24008162)
The Joffe lab within the Translational Research Program in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a postdoctoral fellow interested in examining transcriptional and/or electrophysiological (i.e., EEG or path-clamp) changes in cortical microcircuit function in mouse models related to opioid use disorder. The postdoctoral fellow will be primarily responsible for all aspects of designing and conducting experiments, along with writing and reviewing manuscripts and grant applications. The Department of Psychiatry is a supportive and highly collaborative environment with outstanding professional development opportunities for postdoctoral fellows.
Requirements are a doctorate in physiology, pharmacology, neuroscience, or a related field, four years of experience/exposure in translational neuroscience or biological psychiatry research, including rodent behavioral experiments, stereotactic surgeries, and/or fiber photometry.
