Group C (Unionized) Postdoctoral Researchers are Research Fellows recognized by the Quebec government employed at McGill with a valid Doctoral degree (PhD or MD) for a maximum of 5 years after obtaining their Doctoral Degree.
The incumbent is unionized if more than 25% of his salary is paid by McGill Research funds.
Group C Unionized hold a dual status as both students and McGill employees, and are members of the AMURE (Postdocs) bargaining unit. Their pay, benefits, working conditions, etc. are governed by their collective agreement.

Job duties:

  • Lead a workshop and subsequent review article within GRIL.
  • Integrating acoustic monitoring into field research conducted within the GRIL members research groups.
  • Write a research grant that integrates acoustic and eDNA monitoring in Quebec.

Qualifying skills:

  • freshwater biology fieldwork experience
  • proven knowledge of acoustic monitoring methods in freshwater systems
  • ability to work with eDNA detection methods
  • experience in running research collaborations and scientific workshops

Annual Salary:
