POSITION SUMMARY

Applications are invited for a 24 month, full-time Post-Doctoral Researcher in the TARA Project.

The Project’s overarching aim of this partnership is to integrate trauma-informed practices across the service area of Dublin South Central, one Area of TUSLA- Child and Family Agency to support practice in responding to the complex needs of children and their families.
The position is based in the School of Applied Social Studies at University College Cork. The postdoctoral researcher will join the research team of the TARA Project, Phase 2 funded by Tusla, Child and Family Agency. The project will examine a number of implementation strategies identified by Phase 1.
The researcher will conduct a specific program of research under the supervision and direction of Dr Maria Lotty, Principal Investigator (PI) of the project. They/he/she will collaborate with the PI in the dissemination of the project’s research findings in publications and conference papers. They/he/she will undertake additional duties and training as may be required within the general scope of the project
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline (such as social science, psychology, implementation science, health science) with a substantial component in implementation and evaluation. The candidate will also have a proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis and awareness of the research environment and stakeholder groups. They/he/she will have a publication record consummate with his/her career stage. The candidate will have excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with the field of child protection and welfare services and/or implementation science is desirable.

Salary: €44,347 - €50,805 per annum, (IUA PD1 Salary Scale)
