Description:
Seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar to be part of an IES-funded project aimed at identifying and evaluating career development opportunities for high school students. The goal of the project is both to determine the landscape of career development opportunities and to identify how these opportunities link to high school and postsecondary education success. The scholar hired for this position will work on both qualitative and quantitative research projects, including data collection through interviews and focus groups as well as analysis of survey and administrative data. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in regular team meetings, aid in the dissemination of results through peer-reviewed publications and research briefs. Occasional travel may be required. Further, the hired individual will help coordinate efforts with a collaborative team of researchers at academic institutions and stakeholder members (local and state agencies). Other duties as assigned. The Post Doctoral Scholar will work under the supervision of Dr. Jay Plasman. This is a one-year position with potential for renewal for up to two years. Possibility of hybrid/remote work within the state of Ohio. A completed Ph.D. in a field related to education is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Education or related field
- Expertise in either qualitative or quantitative research methods (preference will be given to those with experience in both)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with administrative datasets
- Experience with Stata
- Strong background in urban and/or secondary education
The Hiring Range for this position is $61,008.
