CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Post Doctoral Scholar takes initiative and works independently in developing new research ideas and troubleshooting new assays. Further, the incumbent facilitates the training of students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD or Ph.D. in relevant field in health- related sciences preferred
  • No prior experience required

Responsibilities:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in planning and designing research experiments, establishes priorities, and recommends schedules.
  • Presents research findings at local and national scientific conferences. Writes technical publications and reports.
  • Designs and writes programs to perform analysis and produces written reports on results.
  • Collects pilot data to help support new and competing renewal applications.
  • Supervises undergraduate and graduate research students and performs literature reviews.
