POSITION SUMMARY

Position available either at Post-Doctoral or Senior Post-Doctoral Level, depending on experience.
Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Researcher / Senior Post-Doctoral Researcher position at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology, to work on a recommender systems project within the Insight Platform research programme. In addition, the researcher may contribute to various other collaborative research projects as they arise with Industry Partners and/or EU Consortium Partners. The nature and structure of the phase 2 SFI Research Centre programme allows for Post-Doctoral researchers to work and gain valuable experience in a varied & research rich environment where you may gain experience working with SME’s, MNC’s, H2020 projects as well as basic platform research within the Insight Centre for Data Analytics programme.
The role in Insight is to develop recommender systems for cultural artefacts, having special regard for explanations and serendipity, under the direction of the Dr. Derek Bridge. The positions may involve close collaboration with other Insight members across our partner Research Participating Organisations and with Insight Industry partners.
The Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics (http://www.Insight-centre.org) is an SFI funded Research Centre that brings together researchers within University College Dublin, NUI Galway, University College Cork, and Dublin City University, as well as other partner institutions, Trinity College Dublin (TCD), University of Limerick (UL), Maynooth University (MU) and Tyndall National Institute
Post Duration: 13 Months
Salary: €44,847 - €51,313 per annum, (IUA PD1 Scale) / €52,715 - €57,332 per annum, (IUA PD 2 Scale)
