Description:
Our lab has pioneered 3D fluorescence microscopy methods to study G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) (Kockelkoren et al. Nat. Chem. Biol. 2024; Rosholm et al. Nat. Chem. Biol. 2017; Mathiasen et al. Nat. Meth. 2014). We are seeking motivated and talented postdoctoral fellows to leverage these innovative methods to investigate the biophysical and pharmacological properties of GPCRs on the nanocable.
Successful candidates will join a vibrant and internationally recognised interdisciplinary team and use state of the art instrumentation and methodology to directly observe the organization and drug-induced activation of GPCRs at the plasma-membrane. Duties will include growing and maintaining cell cultures, cloning, microscopy and data analysis, amongst others.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a related field. Individuals with a strong background in advanced fluorescence microscopy, cell biophysics or GPCR cell biology are especially encouraged to apply.
The postdoc’s duties will include research within live-cell fluorescent microscopy and GPCR biophysics, as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.
