The Department of Physics & Astronomy in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Theoretical Project on Quantum Sensor Networks.
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the group of Barry Sanders for a theoretical project on quantum sensor networks in collaboration with Damian Markham of Sorbonne University. The successful applicant must have excellent technical communication skills and have a strong background and track record of achievements in quantum optics, quantum information or mathematical physics. To be eligible for a postdoctoral appointment, the applicant must normally have received a postgraduate doctoral degree or its equivalent awarded within the three (3) years immediately preceding the effective date of a postdoctoral appointment, with allowance made for leaves of absence. The position is for two years with the strong possibility of renewal for a third year, subject to performance and continued funding, and the annual stipend is $65,000 including benefits plus an annual allowance of $5000 for research support including travel, visitors and a computer.
