Job Description
Small Molecular Therapeutics and Platform Technologies (SMTPT) within Discovery Research seeks a Senior Scientist I /PostDoc to design and synthesize small molecules within the Global Medicinal Chemistry (GMEC) organization. GMEC is committed to delivering first and best-in-class small molecules in conventional and unconventional drug-like space with the potential to improve human health. You will work in a cross functional team aimed at identifying and advancing promising low dose leads.

Responsibilities:
- The focus of your role will be to prepare biologically active compounds from milligram to gram scale using state of the art organic synthesis and technology.
- You will independently design and execute multi-step synthetic routes from milligram to multi-gram scale.
- You will develop new synthetic methods and technologies and apply them to the synthesis of biologically active compounds.
- You will be involved in the design of compounds and the evaluation of their biological activity.
- You will effectively collaborate and communicate with local and global chemistry and cross-functional teams.
