The Holocaust Research Institute (HRI) at Royal Holloway, University of London, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to contribute to a major donor-funded project, “Global Jewish Studies in/as Holocaust Studies” for the academic year 2025-26. The successful candidate will conduct research in their area of expertise, contribute to teaching undergraduate and MA modules, as required, and will also be expected to deliver 1-2 “masterclasses” for postgraduate students, faculty and HRI associates. They will advance the interests of the HRI with respect to the wider scholarly community and the public. The post is fixed term for one academic year.

The postdoctoral research fellow will work in any area of Global Jewish Studies (including, but not restricted to history, literary studies, film studies, cultural studies, geography, anthropology, and sociology). We welcome applications from candidates whose research has a global focus. The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. Travel to London may also be required for teaching.
Informal enquiries should be made to Professor Dan Stone (d.stone@rhul.ac.uk), Director of the Holocaust Research Institute.
