Constructor University invites applications from interested candidates for the following position, to be filled ideally by 01.01.2025:
Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Social Science (m/f/d)
(full time; 38.5 hrs./week; limited for 3 years)
The position is funded within a collaborative research project with several international partners in in the Horizon Europe program in computational social science

Your responsibilities:

  • Simulation methodology development for agent-based models of democratic decision-making connected with large language models and quantum voting models.
  • Conceptualizing the construction of synthetic populations.
  • Social Choice analysis of electoral systems with focus on quadratic voting and quantum game theory.
  • Writing research papers on the project’s topics and preparing deliverables for reporting.

Your qualifications:

  • We are looking for a researcher with an interdisciplinary spirit of any background which research interest aligns with the project’s objectives.
  • Experience in developing, programming, and analyzing agent-based models is required.
  • Knowledge of social choice theory, quantum mechanics, and synthetic populations is a plus.
