Description:

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate with expertise in mass spectrometry-based protein analysis. You will be part of a team of exceptional researchers supporting our recently awarded BBSRC strategic Longer and Larger project, GlycoWeb, to explore the biology underlying the synthesis and regulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). The multi-partner project includes research groups from the Universities of Nottingham, Liverpool and Manchester, and the Francis Crick Institute, alongside international (USA and Denmark) and commercial partners (InterReality Labs).
This full-time post will be supervised by Professor Claire Eyers, Co-Director of the Centre for Proteome Research (CPR) in the Institute of Institute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology at the University of Liverpool. You should have a PhD in biochemistry, chemistry or a related discipline. This is a fixed term post and is available for 36 months from the date of appointment.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
