QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in English
  • experience in working on different layers of 5G network.
  • experience in multi-objective optimizations and its combination with AI/ML.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while working on multiple tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in applying AI/ML methods (including DL, RL, and FL) in the context of network automation.
  • Strong track record demonstrated by publications in Q1 journals and top-tier international conferences.
  • Strong programming skills

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

A postdoctoral research position is currently open at the Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Lab (CSRIL) within the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). The position is dedicated to investigating diverse facets related to communication, networking, and AI-driven decision-making within autonomous vehicle systems. This research project specifically emphasizes the exploration of multiple dimensions within autonomous vehicle systems, with a focus on understanding and enhancing communication protocols, networking architectures, and the integration of artificial intelligence techniques for decision-making. The selected postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating academic environment with a multidisciplinary team of experts in cybersecurity, computer science, and autonomous systems. They will actively engage in conducting innovative research, analyzing experimental data, and developing novel algorithms and methodologies to address the challenges associated with communication, networking, and AI-driven decision-making in autonomous vehicle systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing communication protocols for 5G- 6G- connected autonomous vehicles and AI-based methods to optimize the communication, networking, and control in autonomous vehicle systems. - 35%

  • Dissemination of research progress through conference papers, journal articles, and software package
  • Mentoring the graduate students and run collaborative research.
  • Identifying the new area of research and justifying the problems.

Research on NextG networks in different areas of open RAN, network security and spectrum management. - 30%
