POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN INTELLIGENT PHOTONIC NETWORKING AND COMPUTING

- Conduct innovative research in intelligent photonic networking and computing and develop and test scalable photonic architectures for next-generation communication and computing.

You will be an enthusiastic and collaborative individual with a proactive approach to engaging in outreach, building strong external partnerships, and contributing to professional activities. Your commitment to sharing knowledge through presentations, seminars, and active participation in departmental initiatives will reflect your passion for research and its broader impact.
You will also have:
- A PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to perform independent experimental research, conduct numerical modelling and simulation, and a commitment to high impact research.
- A record of quality research in the discipline as evidenced by a combination of excellent publications in leading journals and at conferences commensurate with opportunity and translation of research to impact through collaboration or industry engagement.
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate research concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Plan and conduct cutting edge research and contribute to research supervision of graduate researchers.
- Independently plan and carry out research on the nominated research project and work towards completion of the aims of the project
- Contribute to teaching, training, scientific mentoring and supervision of students.
- Supervise junior research staff in your area of expertise
