Postdoctoral Research Fellowship: Language &Literacy

The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Management and Commerce at the University of Fort Hare seeks to recruit 1 Post-Doctoral Research fellow to commence by December 2024. This position will support the ongoing research activities in Macroeconomic with a special focus on regional financial integration, institutions, financial flows and growth with a special focus on the Southern African Development Community region.
The Bursary is valued at R300 000 per annum. The appointment is for a 12-month period and will be renewed subject to the production of 2 Units in DHET accredited journals.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Doctoral degree in Economics or a related field obtained within the past 5 years
• Applied knowledge of research design, good computer skills and experience with statistical software such as EViews, STATA etc.
• Knowledge and experience of quantitative and qualitative research methods will be an added advantage.
• Preference will be given to South African citizens, with a particular emphasis on women and permanent residents.
