Position Title: Postdoctoral Researcher – CO2 Electrochemical Reduction
Department: 2410|Chemical Engineering
Responsibilities:
We are seeking multiple highly motivated and qualified Postdoctoral Researchers to join our dynamic research team, specializing in materials design and synthesis for applications CO2 reduction. These positions offer exciting opportunities to engage in muti-university collaborative research, contribute to innovative solutions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient in setting up and operating testing and analysis equipment, including gas chromatography (GC) and NMR.
- Conduct innovative research in materials design and synthesis tailored for specific application in CO2 reduction or capture.
- Design, fabricate, and characterize novel materials and catalysts.
- Testing catalysts in electrochemical cells and familiar with GC.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to the development of new research ideas.
- Publish research findings in high-impact scientific journals and present results at conferences and seminars.
- Participate in the preparation of research proposals and grant applications.
- Mentor and provide guidance to graduate and undergraduate students.
- Perform management duties for research and office if necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, ETC.:
- Expertise in CO2 electrochemical reduction and related fields.
- Capability to set up testing stations and operate analytical equipment.
- Ability to prepare funding proposals, experimental plans, and technical reports
- Ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Track record of publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
