JOB DESCRIPTION
The LEARN project is a 3-year Horizon Europe project. It investigates educational inequalities. It collates existing evidence and generates new knowledge based on high-quality longitudinal data, and it formulates practical, evidence-based guidance to allow policymakers across Europe to address them. To this end, LEARN will use an innovative educational transition perspective, which can be applied comparatively to different national education systems and is also sensitive to the main arenas of inequality production in these systems, to examine the emergence and development of inequalities throughout educational careers in each of the nine case study countries: Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The LEARN project brings together a broad range of social sciences (e.g., sociology, demography, psychology, education sciences, economics, social policy) and scholars in several leading international institutions: Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), University College Dublin (UCD) Ireland, Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (NEPS), University of Helsinki (UH), University of Turku (UTU) Finland, University College London (UCL) UK, University of Trento (UTR), European University Institute (EUI), Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB), University of Tallinn (TLU), University of Maastricht (UMA), University of Zurich (UZH) and University of Lausanne (UNIL)
