Salary (£): £36,024 - £44,263 per annum
Contract type: Fixed-term for 1 year in the first instance
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Parkes lab team, which is dedicated to the investigation of the tumour microenvironment in chromosomally unstable cancers. Under the supervision of Professor Eileen Parkes, you will be responsible for modelling and analysing the tumour microenvironment, with a focus on chromosomally unstable cancers.
The successful candidate will have completed a relevant DPhil in tumour microenvironment or immunology. You will bring hands-on experience in in vitro modelling, co-culture experiments, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, flow cytometry, digital pathology analysis of multiplex immunofluorescence data, and ex vivo culture. Experience with the biology of chromosomally unstable tumours, the cGAS-STING pathway, and bioinformatics analysis of RNAseq, scRNAseq and proteomic data is required.
In addition to conducting your own research, you will provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including research assistants, technicians, and PhD students.
