WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in understanding of light-tissue interaction physics
- Experience in development of photonic phantom and in-vivo experiments and measurement setups
- Experience in time-domain and spectral signal analysis
- Motivation and capacity to build and manage multidisciplinary publicly and customer funded projects
- Experience in applying funding and building networks
- You have recently (max 5 years ago) gained your doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
- You have experience in developing non-invasive photonics based sensors to monitor the physiological status of humans
- You have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
- Work in the field of photonics based wearable sensors to develop new measurement and signal analysis techniques in multidisciplinary projects
- Participate in the execution of research projects by developing innovative sensing concepts, measurement techniques and setups and by validating the concepts in volunteer trials
- Develop signal analysis methods, correlate results with clinically relevant parameters
- Build and plan multidisciplinary research projects and apply project funding
- Collaborate with customers and research partners and participate in offering our expertise and know-how
- Participate in project management and reporting including writing scientific publications
- Advancing health and wellness monitoring in specified projects
- Collaborating in research team and project group with co-writing and project work
- Participating actively in dissemination with journal publications and in conferences
- Supervising or tutoring junior team members
