We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scientist to join our dynamic team at the Lilly Biotechnology Center in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will play a key role in our antibody-enabled membrane protein discovery projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking research and contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong background in antibody technology and membrane protein biology such as GPCRs.
- Experience in protein engineering and characterization.
- Experience with techniques such as protein expression, purification, and characterization.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:
- Experience with display technologies (e.g., phage display, yeast display, or mammalian display).
- Experience with flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience of cell-based assay for GPCR targets.
- The successful candidate must be available to start latest by January 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to discover and engineer antibodies to biologically relevant conformations of membrane proteins.
- Develop and optimize novel protocols for antibody generation, screening, and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into broader research projects.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data and present findings at internal and external meetings.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
