QUALIFICATIONS

Appointment to a post-doctoral position requires that the applicant has a PhD, or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD in a related field (e.g., Organic Chemistry, Medicine Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proved knowledge and experience in organic synthesis, purification and analysis
• Written and spoken English at a professional level

This is a career development position primarily focused on research. Those appointed to post-doctoral researchers may, however, work to a limited extent with educational tasks and administration, duties of this kind may not comprise more than 20 percent of a full-time post.
We seek a highly motivated and interdisciplinary post-doctoral researcher to join our team in designing and preparing biocompatible multivalent microgel particles for virus inhibition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic synthesis and a keen interest in assessing the properties of multivalent hydrogels using physico-chemical techniques for particle analysis and characterization. This collaborative project offers the opportunity to work on live virus inhibition studies at Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2).
