Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Department of Physics is seeking a Postgraduate Student Administrator to join the fast-paced Physics Education Office supporting the MSc and MRes programmes and to assist the undergraduate team. The postholder will enhance the experience of our students and staff alike and will be integral to the smooth running of the programmes.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • You will be part of the Physics Education office assisting the MSc and MRes programme.
  • You will analyse programme admissions data on a regular basis.
  • You will accurately communicate admissions decisions to the admissions team and to applicants.
  • You will act as an intermediary between College Registry Admissions Team, prospective students, Programme Directors and others.
  • You will participate in open days, support marketing initiatives and represent physics at recruitment fairs and other events.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Departmental education web pages.

  • Hybrid working may be considered for this role. Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 80% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
