QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant experience and confidence in handling and caring for domestic animals, including dangerous dogs and feral cats.
• Relevant knowledge and skills in office and customer service gained through on-the-job training in keeping with position requirements.
• Valid drivers licence.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Dedicated, compassionate and caring approach for the care, welfare and management of domestic animals.
• Demonstrate flexibility for working hours, undertake some after-hours duties, and willingness to travel outside shire boundary to transport animals when required.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, and well-developed OH&S skills.
• Administration, records management experience.
• Trade experience (non-qualified) for undertaking basic grounds maintenance.
• A desire for professional development, a willingness to step up into other positions within Council, were appropriate and suitable.
