Joseph Ash Galvanizing are currently looking for an experienced linisher to join our team at our Sittingbourne site.

SHIFT TIMES - MON-FRI 6AM - 2PM.

If you have experience working within a heavy manufacturing environment or have previous experience working as a linisher in a similar environment then this could be the career opportunity for you.

Your day to day

• General handling of steel products.
• Use of hand tools to grind steel in preparation for powder coating
• Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
• Operation of overhead crane equipment.
• Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
• Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.

What we are looking for:

• Positive people with a can do attitude.
• Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
• Experience of using hand tools.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.

What we offer

• £13.04 p/h.
• Overtime available at a rate of 1.5 times hourly rate for Saturday and 2.0 times hourly rate for Sunday.
• 40-hour week
• Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm
