Description:

POWER ENGINEER

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen potato products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States and around the world. We have state-of-the-art processing plants in PEI, Alberta and another in Jamestown, ND, with head offices in Dieppe, NB and sales locations in Toronto, Montreal and Boston.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Power Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties of an Engineer as defined by the Province of Prince Edward Island Boiler and Pressure Vessels Act, working in a 12 hour shift work environment.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold a standardized Class 2 Power Engineer license (Class 3 Power Engineer or Class 4 Power Engineer with relevant experience may be considered)
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience would be a definite asset;
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day operation and maintenance of equipment;
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained;
  • Trouble shoot issues and conduct preventative maintenance;
  • Participate in projects and conduct new equipment installations;
  • Conduct training on plant equipment.
    Hourly Wage: $30.58-$54.39
