Description:
Eden Valley Poultry Inc. is seeking a Power Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Power, you will ensure the safety and efficient operations of the boiler and refrigeration plant as well as the HVAC system, compressed air system, chilled water system, and other related building maintenance duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3rd class Power Engineering Certification and 2nd Class Refrigeration Certificate.
- 3 years of experience as a Power Engineer required.
- Millwright Journeyman Certificate an asset.
- Will consider candidates working toward certificate.
- Must have demonstrated maintenance experience.
- Experience in a large-scale manufacturing/processing environment considered an asset.
- Able to read and interpret various schematics and drawings.
- Attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills required.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills required.
- Proven self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work well independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
- Able to work well under pressure while always maintaining professionalism.
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts
- Building construction and inspections

- Take daily direction from the Chief Engineer to assist on jobs and tasks to maintain a clean and orderly site
- Maintain a record of current inventory
- Maintain all building-related service logs in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify and recommend to supervisor preventive maintenance requirements for buildings and basic equipment
- May be required to assist with snow removal, ground maintenance service or building operations functions
- Ensure and enforce compliance to all company and legislated safety policies and procedures
