We are seeking an experienced Power Engineer 4 | Maintenance Worker V to join our dedicated and supportive team at Overlander Extended Care in Kamloops, BC. Responsibilities:

You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility’s power and steam plants. Your responsibilities will include operating, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on essential equipment such as boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power systems, and other related infrastructure. You will also perform trades duties nearing the journeyman level in areas like electrical, plumbing, and painting, while supervising Maintenance Workers and other staff.
Your expertise will be vital in managing steam and hot water heating boilers, fluid and air conditioning systems, and more. You’ll be responsible for starting up and shutting down boilers and associated systems, monitoring and adjusting temperature controls, pressure levels, and feed water levels to ensure optimal distribution of steam and air heating. Additionally, you’ll meticulously monitor gauges, adjust HVAC systems, and perform necessary repairs and calibrations on instrumentation components, all while maintaining thorough documentation to uphold compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
This role is integral to maintaining the comfort and safety of our facility, and your skills will directly contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our operations.
