THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently looking for a Power Plant Technician I - Shift (Chemical Technician) to join our Power Production team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Chemical & Environmental Supervisor, you will be responsible to perform all aspects of chemical and environmental operations within the plant.

- The preferred candidate would be a full-time employee recognized as a PPT I (Chemical Technician) by Nova Scotia Power.
- As a prerequisite, the candidate must possess either a Chemical Technologist or Environmental Technologist Diploma or a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or other relevant discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- A minimum three (3) years experience in a coal, oil or gas fired thermal generating station, process industry or equivalent industry is required.
- If no qualified Chemical Technicians apply, consideration will be given to those who qualify as Apprentice Chemical Technicians as described in the NSPI In-house Apprenticeship program
