Description:
Weekly outpatient therapy isn’t always enough, and a trip to the ER isn’t the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2 to 3 years proven experience as a Power Platform Developer, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Virtual Agents, Power Pages, common data service, data connectors, and APIs.
- 3 to 5 years experience with programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Power Fx, and SQL Server database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
- Ability to identify and address business challenges using Power Platform solutions.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, a passion for innovation, and an ability to think strategically to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid Agile & Waterfall environment, able to adapt to the strengths of both methodologies.
- High-quality coding skills, basic database knowledge, and detail oriented.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications preferred, but not required

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Power Platform Developer will play a critical role in the early stages of our healthcare technology initiatives, coming in on the ground floor as a key member of a team focused on enhancing operational and clinical efficiencies. This position involves leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform tools, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Virtual Agents, and Power Pages, to create innovative healthcare solutions. With a strong emphasis on technical skill, creative problem-solving, and an understanding of healthcare processes, the developer will design intuitive user interfaces, troubleshoot technical issues, and convert complex business requirements into effective technology solutions. In this role, continuous learning and adaptation are essential, as is staying updated with the latest Power Platform developments to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. The Power Platform Developer will be instrumental in delivering applications that significantly improve patient care and operational effectiveness, thriving in a dynamic environment that balances the agility of Agile methodologies with the structured approach of Waterfall. This position is ideal for someone passionate about using technology to positively impact healthcare. The ideal candidate should also possess an entrepreneurial mindset, exhibiting an ability to think strategically, identify opportunities for innovation, and take initiative in driving projects forward.
The role will be fully remote, but must physically reside in IL, MD, VA, or Washington DC.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Design, document, build, and deploy Power Apps and Power Automate flows, focusing on developing visually appealing, user-friendly applications with strong UI/UX design principles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power Platform applications and SQL Server.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed user requirements, translating these into functional application designs.
- Participate in database design to support application development, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot query performance, and develop, test, and debug complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, providing comprehensive problem resolution and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with multiple departmental teams across the company to deeply understand diverse business processes, develop applications, and automations aimed at enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Document processes and solutions in detail, enabling other team members to follow and understand them, regardless of their technical background.
- Stay updated with the latest features and updates in the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Operate with considerable autonomy over the build process, making key decisions in application development and customization to best meet the dynamic needs of the business.
