DESCRIPTION

In line with the Lockton MENA’s continued success and growth in the marine wholesale sector, the risk solutions team is looking to enhancing its capabilities with new retail focused brokers within the Power sector. This role will have additional accountability in developing the overall value propositions, teams, pipeline and territories where Lockton does not have retail presence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the designing, placement and advice on power program solutions.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:

  • Extensive knowledge of power insurance markets and products in both renewable and conventional power industries, and have robust relationships with all key insurers.
  • An understanding of the regulatory and legislative landscape affecting related insurance
  • A detailed understanding of the broking process and all regulatory, tax and global compliance matters relating there to
  • Ability to formulate a plan for business development and placement strategy in conjunction with Lockton MENA wholesale
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation

Responsibilities:

  • Design, place and advise on program solutions for large and complex clients
  • Liaise with insurers and clients as required in support of Lockton Insurer Strategic Partners, Account Executives and Brokers.
  • Oversee in the collection of insurer panel revenues from Insurers and ensure compliance with the service requirements
  • Attend to the team renewal / allocation lists and ensure that all team renewals are invited / submitted / quoted / bound. Provision of renewal reports / debrief / feedback meetings as necessary.
  • Attendance and speaking at seminars and conferences such as AIRMIC, FERMA, RIMS
    The position is Dubai-based and requires a flexible approach to travel carrying out risk surveys on a regional basis. Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential in order to develop a strong working relationship with our colleagues’ client base, insurance underwriters and their engineers.
