BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically, six or more years of relevant experience
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Strong credit analysis, analytical and financial modeling skills
- In-depth knowledge of credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis
- Power industry experience including familiarity with traditional and renewable power assets
- Experience with regulated and unregulated power markets
- Ability to understand complex organizational structures
- Ability to analyze contracts, legal documentation, technical reports and various deal structures
- Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance
- Effective technical report writing skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Responsibilities:
THIS ROLE HAS MULTIPLE LEVELS, OPEN TO CANDIDATES WITH A MINIMUM OF 6 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE HIRED FOR THE LEVEL OF THE POSITION THAT ALIGNS WITH THEIR EXPERIENCE.
The Credit Analyst gathers, analyzes, and interprets credit information on existing and prospective Utility and Independent Power Producers. This person will review customer accounts, portfolios, and transactions to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss through the credit underwriting process. Will also assist portfolio and relationship managers in structuring various credit arrangements including new business, refinance, and amendments.
